The Canvas Swag
Late 2026
A full day of camping — canvas, rain, dirt, wood, fire, leather, wind, sunshine, beach.
The arrival: morning rain on canvas. Cold air, wet earth, the swag still damp, the first fire being lit.
The heart: the day opens. Dirt underfoot, dry wood gathered, leather of the boots and swag, wind picking up off the beach, afternoon sun on salt-dried skin.
The settle: the fire at night. Smoke in the canvas, the guitar we put under cover, voices singing, the warmth of the fire on your clothes and the cold bush all around. Everyone tired, warm, dirty, and exactly where they want to be.
